고려시대의 고고학 연구와 역사학 = Archaeological Research and History on Goryeo period

국문 초록 (Abstract)

고려시대를 연구하는 역사학자들은 고고 자료를 매우 단편적으로 이용하고 있을 뿐이며, 근래 고고학계에서는 고려시대 고고자료에 관한 관심이 높아지고 있지만 아직도 고려시대를 고고학의 대상 시대로 여기지 않는 분위기가 강하다. 현대의 고고학과 역사학은 역사상 혹은 문화상을 복원하려고 하며, 그러한 역사상 혹은 문화상이 왜 생성되었고, 어떻게 변화했는지를 규명하려고 한다. 그런 점에서 두 학문이 학문적으로 추구하는 목표가 같다. 다만 이용하는 자료와 연구 방법이 다를 뿐이다. 이제 고려시대의 모습을 규명하기 위해 고고학자와 고려사 연구자가 행력해야 한다. 그러기 위해서는 인식의 전환과 상호 학문에 대한 이해 및 지식이 필요하다. 하나의 대상을 놓고 공동 연구를 수행하고, 그를 통하여 고려시대 연구의 새로운 방법론을 개발할 필요가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The historians working on Goryeo period are likely to use archaeological data partially. Albeit the interest in archaeological data dated to Goryeo becomes more increased in archaeology, there still remains a tendency to regard Goryeo period as not being a research area for archaeology. The comtemporary archaeology and history attempts to reconstruct historical and cultural aspects and to probe the reason why those aspects were produced and how they were changed. In this respect, two disciplines share the same aim to pursue in academics. There is, however, only a difference in the data used and research method. It is neccesary for both historians and archaeologists to corperate with in order to examine the feature of Goryeo period. For this work, prerequite is a conversion of thought and mutual understanding and knowledge between those two disciplines. Various joint researches need to be executed for a common object, and based on these, new methodologies can be developed for the research on Goryeo period.
