      This Study examined the relationships among training investment, HR outcomes (employee related outcomes; job satisfaction, job skill enhancement, employee competence), and organizational performance(sales per employee). I tested the mediating role of HR outcomes in the relationship between training investment and organizational performance.
      To test hypotheses, Human Capital Corporate Panel Survey (HCCP, 2005, 2007) data collected by the Korean Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training (KRIVET) and KISLINE data(2007) from the Korean Information Services (KIS) were used. Data were analyzed using OLS(Ordinary Least Squares) regression technique. Results showed that training investment has a positive impact on HR outcomes(job satisfaction, job skill enhancement) and organizational performance(sales per employee). And all HR outcomes have a positive impact on organizational performance. I also found HR outcomes at least partially mediated the relationship between training investment and organizational performance. Finally, I discussed theoretical and practical implications of this study, limitations, and directions for future study.

I tested the mediating role of HR outcomes in the relationship between training investment and organizational performance.
