중국의 한국 국가이미지 구성요소 및 형성경로에 관한 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

한국과 중국은 수교 이후, 상호 좋은 관계를 형성하여 왔으나, 동북공정, 베이징올림픽 등 중대한 사건을 전·후로 중국의 한국 국가에 대한 인식에 변화가 생겼다. 향후 원활한 한·중관계를 구축하기 위해서 중국인의 한국에 대한 인식 혹은 국가이미지를 정확히 이해하고 분석해야할 필요성을 가지고, 본 연구는 다음과 같은 연구목적을 설정하였다. 첫째는 중국의 한국 국가이미지 형성 경로가 무엇인지?; 둘째는 중국의 한국 국가이미지 구성 요소는 무엇인지; 셋째는 형성된 한국의 국가이미지가 중국인에게 어떠한 영향을 미치고 있는가를 살펴본다.

본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해서 국내·외 기존 문헌을 분석하여 한국 국가이미지 형성경로와 그 구성 요소를 분석할 기본틀을 만든다. 이를 기준으로 중국의 대표적 신문인 인민일보 기사 분석 및 중국의 전문가 및 한국에 유학중인 중국학생 대상으로 면담조사를 진행하여 재검토 작업을 수행한다. 그 결과 중국에서 한국 국가이미지가 형성되는 경로는 주로 TV드라마, 신문 등 언론 매체, 인터넷, 한국인 접촉 및 한국방문, 타인을 통한 이해 등이었으며, 그 중 중국인의 한국에 대한 이해와 국가이미지 형성에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 경로는 한국 TV드라마 접촉 경험이었음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 한국 국가이미지를 구성하는 요소는 경제, 정치, 외교, 문화, 사회 등 전반적 영역에서 긍정적인 면과 부정적인 면이 동시에 나타났다. 특히, 한국의 경제와 문화적 측면에서는 대체적으로 긍정적 이미지를 형성하고 있지만, 한국 사회문제 및 외교문제 등은 부정적 이미지를 보이고 있다.

한국과 중국 간의 교류 중, 긍정적으로 형성된 국가이미지는 중국인의 한국에 대해 선호도로 연결되어 한국의 대중문화뿐만 아니라 한국관광 및 한국상품 구입, 심지어는 한국어학습 및 한국유학으로 이어졌다. 그러나 부정적인 국가이미지를 형성한 중국인은 한국의 문화상품 및 문화활동을 기피하였으며, 심지어 일부 중국인은 한류 등 한국의 대중문화의 열풍을 문화침략 혹은 문화적 식민지화 등으로 인식하며 반(反)한국 정서를 만들기도 한다.

Korea and China has formed good mutual relations with each other since the establishment of diplomatic ties with each other, but there arose a change in China's awareness of Korea before & after important events, such China' Northeast Project and the Beijing Olympics, etc.

This study, with the necessity of having to accurately understand and analyze China's awareness of Korea, or Korea's national image in order to establish smooth relations between Korea and China, set up its research objectives as follows:
First, what is China's formation path of Korea's national image?; secondly, what are China's components of Korea's national image?, and third, what influence of the already established Korea's national image is having on Chinese people?

This study created a framework for analyzing Korea's national image formation path and its components by the existing literature at home and abroad in an effort to achieve these research objectives. Based on this framework, this study made an analysis of China's representative paper-the People's Daily, and carried out the review work by conducting an interview survey of experts on China, and Chinese students who were studying abroad in Korea.
