The Orientation of Literature Education as a General Culture Course in University Kim, Jong-CheolLiterature education as a general culture course in university is very important stage for adults to receive literary work steadily in everyday life. Nowadays though the great part of mass is university graduate, literature is at the crucial moment. Because literature education as a general culture course in university is divided into the several separate departments. And mainly the lecture of literature education is oriented toward historic and positive knowledge. Besides literature education as a general culture course in university has no relation with the literature education in high school course. In order to promote for adults to receive literary work steadily in everyday life, literature education as a general culture course in university must aim three targets as follows.1. Students must be educated as the subject who receive belles-lettres 2. Students must participate in social topics through the reception of literary works.3. Students must be introduced to experience the spiritual awakening through the reception of literary works.
