The purposes of this article are to describe mathematical communication and to intoduce the methods of promoting mathematical communication in the elemantary school.
Children will need to make sense of, and communicate in, the quantitative world they are inheriting. This mathematics sense-making will require them to read. write. experience. explain. discuss. defined. and clarify for themselves and others what are sure to be cognitive dissonances in their realities.
Promoting mathematical communications in the elementary school are as followings;
First, Meaningful Communication among Children through Date collection, Literature, Language and Real situation.
Second, Provide opportunities children such as reading, explaining, discussing, writing, etc.
Third, Provide opportunities children to communicate in Mathematics between Home and School.
Children will need to make sense of, and communicate in, the quantitative world they are inheriting. This mathematics sense-making will require them to read. write. experience. explain. discuss. defined. and clarify for themselves and others what are sure to be cognitive dissonances in their realities.
