본 연구는 1990년부터 2008년까지 미래주의적 의복과 모자와의 조형적 관계를 분석함으로써 향후 모자디자인의 발전방향을 모색하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 연구자는 모자와 의복의 조형적 관계를 분석하기 위해 구체적으로 마리안 데이비스의 Visual Design in Dress와 마를린 들롱의 The Way We Look에 의한 조형적 분석방법을 적용시켰다.
