The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of job satisfaction which is found to be the most influential factors in organizational commitment and self - efficacy which is researching in various industries and occupations, on the organizational commitment of pharmaceutical wholesale company employees.
This study was conducted to survey employees belonging to pharmaceutical wholesale companies nationwide. A total of 321 questionnaires were used for the analysis of results. The data were analyzed using Pearson's correlation analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results of this study are as follows.
First, organizational commitment is influenced by external satisfaction, internal satisfaction, and task difficulty preference order. All factors had a positive effect on organizational commitment. Second, the affective commitment is influenced by internal satisfaction, external satisfaction, confidence, and task difficulty preference order, and all factors had a positive effect on affective commitment. Third, the continuous commitment is influenced by external satisfaction and confidence order, and external satisfaction had a positive, on the order hand, confidence had a negative effect on continuous commitment. Fourth, the normative commitment is influenced by external satisfaction, task difficulty preference order, and all factors had a positive effect on normative commitment.
The results of this study suggest that efforts to improve the level of job satisfaction and self-efficacy by managers, supervisors and human resources managers are needed to encourage of employees' organizational commitment in pharmaceutical wholesale companies.
