In this study the partial molar Gibbs free energy of mixing of K₂O in the K₂OWO₃ melts were measured by emf method at Temperature from 1050 to 1250 Kin region from 55 to 75 ㏖% WO₂. In order to perform this work the following galvanic cell were built,
Pt(O₂)/(1-x)K₂O/WO₃//K^+-β/βⁿ//0.35K₂O+0.65WO₃/(O₂)Pt.
In this galvanic cell the ion exchanged K^+β/β^n-Al₂O₃ crucible as Electrolyte were used. From the measured emf-values the partial molar mixing enthalpies(ΔH ̄_(K₂O))and entropies(ΔS ̄_(K₂O)) of K₂O, and the activities of K₂O, in the K₂O-WO₃melts were calculated.
