The purpose of this study was to identify the explanatory variables influencing on the multicultural curriculum based on importance of multicultural education in early childhood. To identify the purpose of this study, the researchers examined literature review, and also investigated the theoretical approach of multicultural education, the multicultural curriculum based on appropriateness in early childhood, and the explanatory variables influencing on the multicultural curriculum.
Based upon the preceding systematic literature review about the study issues, it was summarized as follows. First, the educational aim of the multicultural curriculum based on appropriateness in early childhood should be educate a human having a subjectivity and openness, and the educational objectives were development ability to freely respect one another. Second, the educational contents of the multicultural curriculum based on appropriateness in early childhood were culture, identity, a personal characteristic, openness and equality, self-esteem, and collaboration. Third, the explanatory variables influencing on the multicultural curriculum for young children were the variables of young children, teacher, kindergarten curriculum contents, educare center curriculum contents, and parent and the others.
