한국판 Hogan 애도 반응 척도의 타당화 연구 = Validation of the Korean Version of the Hogan Grief Reaction Checklist

The purpose of this research was to validate a Korean version of the Hogan Grief Reaction Checklist (K-HGRC). Exploratory factor analysis was administered to 327 bereaved adults who had experienced the death of a loved one, and a 4-factor structure with 31 items was derived as a result. The Cronbach’s alpha of the overall items of the K-HGRC was .91. Next, confirmatory factor analysis with a different sample of 445 bereaved adults indicated satisfactory standardized regression weights of all items. One item had a standardized regression weight less than .40. Thus was discarded, and 30 items remained for the final scale. It was further shown that the scale was correlated with Texas Revised Inventory of Grief (TRIG), Mourning Scale for Adults, depression and Posttraumatic Growth Inventory. In addition, hierarchical multiple regression analysis confirmed the incremental validity of the Korean Hogan grief reaction over TRIG, which suggests that the construct of grief reaction is discriminated from the TRIG. Finally, implications and limitations of this study were discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 애도 과정(grieving process)을 연구하기 위해 Hogan, Greenfield, 그리고 Schmidt(2001)가 개발하고 타당화한 애도 반응 척도를 한국판으로 타당화하였다. 먼저 사랑하는 사람과의 사별을 경험한 성인 327명을 대상으로 탐색적 요인분석을 실시한 결과 총 31문항, 4요인이 도출되었다. 한국판 Hogan 애도 반응 척도의 전체 문항의 내적일치도는 .91이었다. 다음으로 사별을 경험한 성인 445명을 새로운 대상으로 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였고, 여기서 도출된 요인구조의 일반화 가능성을 확인하였다. 표준화 회귀계수가 .40 미만인 한 문항을 제거하고 총 30문항을 최종 문항으로 결정하였다. 애도와 개념적으로 관련된 개정판 텍사스 애도 척도, 성인용 애도 척도, 우울 척도, 외상후 성장 척도와의 상관분석을 통해 수렴타당도를 평가하였다. 증분타당도를 검정하기 위해 위계적 회귀분석을 실시한 결과 Hogan 애도 반응은 기존의 애도 척도를 통제하고도 유의한 증분설명량을 나타냈다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점 및 후속 연구에 대해 논의하였다.
