‘바우덕이’ 콘텐츠의 스토리텔링 연구 = A Study on Storytelling of ‘Baudeogi’ Contents : For Development of Festival Event Program

국문 초록 (Abstract)

바우덕이는 ‘안성 남사당바우덕이 축제’의 주요 인물콘텐츠이다. 그러나 설화적 인물의 실존성 문제로 축제의 프로그램 콘텐츠로 활용되지 못하고 있다. 문화산업에서 인물콘텐츠의 활용은 그 실존성에 지나치게 의존할 필요는 없다. 실존성 문제는 오히려 문화콘텐츠의 창의적 스토리텔링을 억압할 여지가 있다.
본 연구는 축제에서 바우덕이 콘텐츠를 활성화하기 위해 바우덕이 스토리의 프로그램화를 위한 스토리텔링을 진행하였다. 이를 위해 바우덕이 스토리의 전형성(stereotype)과 확장성(expansibility)을 찾아 스토리를 해석하고 이를 스토리텔링하여 축제 프로그램화 하고자 하였다. 그리고 이를 통해 축제 참가자가 축제현장에서 바우덕이라는 콘텐츠를 체험하고 상호교류하여 참여도와 만족도를 높이게 하고자 하였다.
본 연구는 바우덕이 스토리의 분석과 스토리텔링을 통해 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다.
① 바우덕이 스토리는 전형적인 영웅서사구조와 아키타입(archetype)을 가지고 있다.
② 바우덕이 스토리의 기본적 스토리텔링 서사요소는 불우한 성장, 탁월한 재능, 뛰어난 성취, 비극적 죽음 등이다.
③ 성장 스토리 화소의 스토리텔링을 통해 「남사당 문화체험」 「바우덕이 전국유람」 「남사당 기예 교실」 등의 창극, 뮤지컬, 마당놀이, 만화영화, 다큐 등 공연, 상영 프로그램을 개발하였다.
④ 재능 스토리 화소의 스토리텔링을 통해 「바우덕이 기예 교실」 「가족 풍물놀이」「바우덕이 줄타기 게임, 경연」 등의 민속 문화 교육체험 프로그램을 개발하였다
⑤ 성취 스토리 화소의 스토리텔링을 통해 ?변환기의 여성 리더십」「바우덕이 스타탄생」 등의 학술포럼, 예능 오디션 프로그램을 개발하였다
⑥ 죽음 스토리 화소의 스토리텔링을 통해 「바우덕이 장례」「바우덕이 진혼굿」「바우덕이의 일생과 죽음」 등의 장례체험, 연극, 뮤지컬, 민속문화체험 프로그램을 개발하였다.
본 연구를 통해 얻어진 스토리텔링 결과가 ‘안성 남사당 바우덕이 축제’ 프로그래밍에 반영되어 축제의 활성화와 함께 축제 참가자의 참여도와 만족도를 높일 수 있기를 기대한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Baudeogi is the key character contents of “Ansung Namsadang Baudeogi festival.” Unfortunately, she has never been adopted for the contents of festival on a basis of dispute on she actually existed or not. In cultural industry, the use of character contents is not essential to depend on character’s actual existence. It would rather obstruct the creative storytelling of cultural contents.
In this thesis, I studied to make use of Baudeogi as a contents of festival, the storytelling for programmed Baudeogi story. For these I try to find a stereotype and expansibility of Baudeogi story and interpretation, storytelling of it for make a festival program.
By experiencing and learning the contents of Baudeogi, the level of satisfaction and participation for festival participants are expected to rise.
Results from analyzing and storytelling the Baudeogi stoty are as below.
① Baudeogi story has typical hero-narrative structure and archetype.
② The basic storytelling elements of Baudeogi story are unfavored childhood, exceptional talents, outstanding acheivement and tragic death.
③ Programs based on unfavored childhood storytelling such as 「Namsadang Culture experience」 「Country tour following track of Baudeogi」 「Namsadang art class」are developed in forms of Changgeuk, musicals, madangnori, cartoon movies, documentaries, etc.
④ Folk Culture and Education Experience Programs based on exceptional talents storytelling such as 「Baudeogi art class [Family Pungmulnori] [Baudeogi tightrope games, contests] are developed.
⑤ Academic Forum, Performing Arts and Auditions programs based on outstanding achievement such as [Women’s leadership at the end of period] [The birth of star Baudeogi] are developed.
⑥ Funeral experience, plays, musicals, folk cultural activities programs based on tragic death such as [Funeral of strolling actors of Baudeogi][Baudeogi requiem Gut] [Baudeogi’s life and death] are developed
Such results of storytelling from this study are expected to be reflected in the “Ansung Namsadang Baudeogi Festival” and increase participation and satisfaction of festival participants at the same time.
