자폐성 아동의 사회적 행동 중재로서의 시각적 지원학습에 관한 연구 = A Study on Visually Supported Intervention for Social Behavior of Children with Autism

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 문헌을 통하여 자폐성 아동의 사회적 행동 특성과 자극 수용 및 정보처리 특성을 고찰하였다. 또한 자폐성 아동의 사회적 행동 중재방법으로 적용된 시각적 지원 학습방법들과 그 효과에 대한 선행연구 결과를 검토하였다.
문헌 및 선행연구 검토 결과, 자폐성 아동의 사회적 행동 결함은 자발적으로 항상되지 않기 때문에 사회적 행동을 형성하기 위해 행동들을 구체적화시켜 학습시키고, 일관성있고 위계적인 상황을 제시해 줄 수 있는 학습방법이 필요하다는 것이 밝혀졌다. 또한 자폐성 아동은 시각적지원이 포함된 활동에 흥미를 나타내고, 시각적 지원을 사용하는 것은 그들의 학습스타일에 더 잘 맞을 뿐만 아니라 정보처리과정이나 이해를 효과적으로 향상시킬 수 있다. 시각적 지원을 이용한 중재는 언어나 의사소통 기술을 비롯하여 놀이, 사회적 상황의 이해, 불안 감소 및 대체 행동 지도, 일상생활 기술 및 자기관리 기술의 향상 등 다양한 측면에 적용되어 왔으며 많은 긍정적인 효과를 나타내었음이 검증되었다. 이와 같은 검토결과와 관련하여 본 연구에서는 보다 효과적인 시각적 지원 프로그램 개발을 위한 앞으로의 연구과제를 제시하였다.

Children with autism have unique perceptions of people and events, which result in response that may seem unpredictable or inappropriate to others. These children have cognitive
impairment that effect their understanding of communication, interaction, and social situation Efforts to teach children with autism social skills should include accurate information what social situation is. This information must be relevant and based on a child's actual
experiences, presented with materials and instructional techniques designed to be most easily understood by the child.
The development of visual tools to give children information and structure supports that need. Visual aids supports socially appropriate behavior by giving children information in a form that they can understand more effectively than verbal Instruction alone.
There are many research literatures about visually supported social behavior intervention of children with autism. These literatures presented that visually supported social behavior
intervention is very useful and have a positive effect on their social behaviors(such as social communication skill, play behavior, social situation learning, social living skill, self-management
skill). This study addresses some suggestions for more successful visually supported social behavior intervention.
