다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract) kakao i 다국어 번역

This paper deals with the ‘New Right’ (Neue Rechte) in Germany. Recognizing that the most significant ‘refugee crisis’ in Europe was utilized as grist for the mill of a German New Right party, this paper aims to analyze the background of the creation, development and of today’s successes of the New Right in Germany. Classified as extreme right or radical right, the German New Right was born through the renewal of the ‘Old Right’ in the late 1960``s. Therefore, the electoral success and subsequent failure of the old right ‘National Democratic Party of Germany’ in the late ‘60``s functioned as an important factor for the emergence of the New Right. Under the impression of the success of the ‘New Left’ (the ‘68 Movement), which occurred at the same time, the New Right set out on a search for a new ideological and organizational identity. However, despite its reform efforts, the New Right did not have notable success until the German unification. It has been strongly revived by the dramatic rise of the party ‘Alternative for Germany’ founded in 2013. From the start the party maintained a close relationship with the New Right. It had great successes with slogans ‘against refugees’ and ‘against Muslims’ in several state elections. Now, the party is likely to have remarkable success in the German federal parliament elections of next year. With the ‘refugee crisis’ as a background, it thus stands to reason that the success of the right-wing populist party and the rise of racism in Germany will gather momentum.
