The study of Iching in Joseon Dynasty Confucianism is primarily related to reading and philosophical discourse of Iching(易經). various method about reading the text of Iching and extensive philosophical discourse developed the study of Iching in Joseon Dynasty. The history of Iching trudy(易學史), reading and philosophical discourse of Iching fall under the category of `meaning(義理)`, the primary mathod of systematizing the theory is scholarly creativity and `Sangsu(象數)`. Yeohon(旅軒)`s creative theory of Neo-Confucianism is based on `Sangsu(象 數)` of the study of Iching. The most important Sangsu(象數) is the Eight Trigrams for divination, involved with SeonCheon(先天) and HuCheon(後天). SeonCheon(先天) is concerned with KyoYok(交易) and HuCheon(後天) is concerned with ByonYok(變易). ln Yeohon`s creative theory of Neo Confucianism KyoYok(交易) and ByonYok(變易) is Key, furthermore it works structure of his thinking. Yeohon`s creative theory of Neo-Confucianism is called LiGi IlDo Theory(理氣一道說). He talked the relationship between Li(理) and Gi(氣) must be constructed as the ByonYok(變易) model. Yeohon(旅軒) Chang Hyun-kwang(張顯光) talked the problem of GilHyung(吉凶)[decision of good and bad in Iching] through his writing `BanGilPyeonEui(反古篇義)`, `BanGil(反古)` has two meanings. one is a variation, the other is returning. concerned with what we should be, through the returning to JungJong(中正) Hyung(凶) will turn into Gil(吉). His BanGil(反吉) theory is also constructed by the ByonYok(變易) model. In conclusion, his creative theory of Neo-Confucianism, LiGi IlDo Theory(理氣一道說) is constructed by the ByonYok(變易) model in the study of Iching. and in the history of Iching study, his thought of BanGil(反古) is also very unique.
