기독교교육에서 주체와 객체의 상호성에 대한 연구 = A study on the Reciprocality of the Subject and Object in Christian Education : Focus on Christian Home and Family Worship

국문 초록 (Abstract)

기독교교육에 있어 가정과 부모가 주요한 주체 중 하나라는 사실은 새로워 보이지만, 기독교 전통과 성경의 근거를 살피면 전혀 새로운 것이 아님을 알게 된다. 부모들이 자신들의 신앙을 자녀들과 나누는 이 책무는 오랜 기간 이어져 내려오고 있는 아름다운 신앙 전수의 방법이다. 하지만, 주일학교의 등장과 함께 이 신앙전수에 있어서 부모의 역할이 점차 간과되어 오고 있는 것 또한 사실이다. 이에 본 논문은 어떻게 가정과 부모가 성경과 교회역사를 통해 기독교교육의 주체로 자리매김하다 그것에서 점차 이탈하여 스스로의 책임을 방기했는지, 그리고 그 결과 일종의 병리현상과도 같은 세 가지 현상이 일어남에 대해 살피게 될 것이다. 그 세 가지 현상은 각각 분리, 결핍, 전문가(교회)에게 자녀의 신앙을 맡기는 것이다. 이 문제의식 위에 본 논문은 나아가 부모들이 기독교교육의 진정한 주체이자 객체가 되어야 함을 논하게 될 것이다. 주체로서 자녀들의 신앙교육의 책임감을 갖고 모든 것을 주체적으로 이끌 뿐 아니라, 객체로서 그들의 신앙교육의 교보재인 모델링이 되어야함을 논하게 될 것이다. 이를 위해 사회문화적인 연구들을 살펴보면서 실제로 부모가 주체적으로 종교교육에 임할 경우 얼마나 실효성이 있는지를 살피고, 아울러 부모→자녀로 이어지는 일방향적인 신앙의 전수가 아닌 부모↔자녀간의 쌍방향적이고 교호적인 관계 속에서 함께 신앙적으로 자라가는 새로운 형태의 기독교교육에 대한 것을 논하게 될 것이다. 아울러 이러한 기독교교육에서의 부모의 역할을 가장 잘 보여줄 수 있는 장으로서의 가정예배에 대해 생각해 보게 될 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

It may seem “new” to contemporary Christian educators that family and parents are a major subject of Christian education, but it has deep roots in the Biblical foundation. And the call for parents to share its faith with their children is deeply embedded in the history of Christian education. The parental role, however, has been overlooked from the Sunday school’s first appearance. Nevertheless, there has been increasing recognition over the last several decades of the importance of family and parental role in Christian education. Thus, this paper investigates a particular aspect of the parental role and role modeling for Christian education to transmit their faith. This rediscovery of the importance of parental role in Christian education indicates that Christian parents (family) as a crucial subject caused Sunday school ministers to influence the education of their children and it has been strong effects on the Christian education negatively: separation, deficiency, and avoiding their responsibility for Christian parenting. In this, this research actually provides socio-cultural studies to support to emphasize the importance of the parental role in forming children’s religious education. On the same page, this article focuses on the both sides of parental roles as subject and object of Christian education and provides examples for strengthening Christian parenting in family worship.
