In the position control system of a direct-drive servo motor the back-lash and the high mechanical stiffness of the direct-drive actuator make it very attractive for high-accuracy control system such as digital control machines.
In this paper, the method of a design on a servo-controller for reducing the problemes is proposed. A new controller is constructed by three feedback loops which are plant-input, velocity and position feedback loop, and the parameters of a new controller are derived from a pole placement. By using the controller in the position control system with I controller, the effectiveness of the controller is confirmed by using computer simulation.
