국문 초록 (Abstract)

1989년부터 시작된 남북한 교류협력은 많은 어려움에도 불구하고 지속적으로 발전되어 왔다. 그러나 남북관계의 경색국면이 장기화되는 가운데 최근 북한당국의 금강산 부동산 몰수·동결 조치 등으로 인해 남북교류는 위기를 맞고 있다. 특히 최근 발생한 천안함 침몰 사건은 남북관계의 앞날을 매우 불투명하게 하고 있다. 그러나 우리가 이루어내야 할 민족공동체의 형성은 ``일방주의적`` 통일이 아닌 ``상호의존적`` 통합의 방식이어야 한다는 점을 망각해서는 안될 것이다. 우리의 통일과정이 평화공존적이며 남북한 모두의 번영과 더 낳은 삶을 보장해주는 것이어야 한다는 통일관에서 출발한다면, 우리가 준비해야 할 사회문화적 통합도 이러한 통일목표를 실현할 수 있는 방향으로 추진되어야 할 것이다.

This paper is to study the importance of the Inter-Korean social and cultural integration, looking into the interchanges and cooperation, It is a very important task to identify and get over the difference between South and North Korea, and to lead to the recovery of national homogeneity for the reunification, The first step to accomplish national homogeneity and the reunification is social and cultural integration, which is facilitated by human interchange and inter-Korean cooperation. Evaluating the inter-Korean social and cultural interchange and cooperation since 1989, both South and North had succeeded in becoming reconciled with each other, To expend and deepen inter-Korean relations in the future, the South needs to seek substantial ideas for various interchange and rearrange roles and functions of governmental and private sector.
