동북아시아 현(峴) 설화 중 만날재 전설의 위상 비교 연구 = A study on comparison to Mannaljae`s legendary location among Northeast Asian legends

The Mannaljae`s legend is handed down to Masan[馬山]. The order of the structure is `Background story - A marriage story - A story of suffering - Stories of overcoming hardship - An accidental encounter - Origin story - Story of tradition.` This legend is based on reality and human. The first characteristic is deficiency and overcoming. The second is possibility of recovery of community consciousness. The third is story of future direction. It is described as an fable in the Northeast Asia encyclopedia. This is the difference between the two narratives. This article is centered on Mannaljae`s legend. This is compared with the narrative of the encyclopedia of Northeast Asia. The purpose of this is to confirm the status of the Mannaljae`s legend. The legend was analyzed and examined. And it has derived its characteristics by comparing it with the story of the creatures of China and Japan. My suggestion of the Mannaljae`s legendary evolutionary method of transmission is also briefly presented for each chapter.
