환경적 요인이 의료기관 예약부도에 미치는 영향 = Analyzing the Factors Affecting No-Show in a Medical Institution by Environmental Factors

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 환경적 요인이 의료기관 예약부도에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 연구대상은 경기지역 일개 대학병원급 종합병원을 대상으로, 2021년 1월 1일부터 2021년 12월 31일까지 외래진료 예약 환자 711,674명을 대상으로 하였다. 독립변수는 환경적 요인인 기온, 강수량, 풍속, 습도, 적설 여부, 거주지, 진료시간, 진료요일, 진료월로 선정하였으며, 종속변수는 예약준수, 예약부도 여부로 하였다. 본 연구 결과는 0°C의 추운 날씨에 예약부도율이 높고, 더운 날씨에 예약부도율이 낮았다. 그리고 병원과 물리적 접근 거리도 중요하며, 요일과 계절적 요인도 예약부도율에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 약 55%의 60세 이상의 고령 환자는 예약부도에 많은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 노인 인구의 증가는 의료시장에도 많은 영향을 미치고 있으며, 고령 환자들의 예약부도를 낮추기 위한 다양한 노력이 필요하다. 아울러 예약부도율을 낮추기 위하여 고객들에게 교통의 편리한 접근 서비스 제공, SNS 안내, 홈페이지 활성화, 문자발송, 전화안내, 메일발송, 예약금 선 수납 등의 다각적이고 적극적인 노력을 통하여 효율적인 병원 경영이 필요하다고 판단된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study analyzed the factors influencing the no-show of a medical institution by environmental factors. The subjects of the study were 711,674 outpatients who had reserved a university hospital-level general hospital from 1 January to 31 December 2021 in Gyeonggi-do. Independent variables were selected as environmental factors such as temperature, precipitation, wind speed, humidity, snow, residence, treatment hours, treatment days, and treatment months. The dependent variables were no show and show up. As a result of this study, the no-show rate was high in the cold weather of 0°C and no-show rate was low in hot weather. Access distance from the hospital was important, and treatment days, treatment months had an effect on the no-show rate. Approximately 55% of elderly patients aged 60 years or older had a significant impact on no-show.The increase in the elderly population is having a great impact on the medical market, and various efforts are needed to lower the no-show rate of elderly patients. In addition, in order to lower the no-show rate, it is necessary to make various and active efforts such as providing customer services with convenient transportation access, SNS, website, text messages, telephone information, e-mails, deposit. Efficient hospital management is necessary through this effort.
