현대적 심미 관점으로 본 한국 전통 원림의 표현 특성 = Through Modern aesthetic point of view the expression characteristics of Korea Traditional Wonlim(Garden)

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In the midst of a re-illumination of the cultural character of East Asia, East Asian countries such as China and Korea have attempted to reflect independent spatial cultures based on their own unique ways of thinking. This led to an ignorance of the value and construction character of Wonrim, which is regarded as a core of spatial art in Korea. Accordingly, the significance of Wonrim is quite underestimated. The uniqueness of Wonrim was not properly recognized because the criterion was focused on the western formation.In particular, this study put an emphasis on literary Wonrim, which was formed at the initiative of the scholars who were establishing the ideological foundation of East Asia. Through a comparative study on Wonrim, this study aims to “understand the cultural background of traditional Wonrim, improve the understanding of both countries’ Wonrim, and suggest identity and cultural factors in East Asia’s spatial design. The "essence" which emphasizes the development of literary trends, and contains the essence, if its shape is not important in itself the idea is formed. Its features are as follows: Non-processed, contrast, geometry and its significance to the description presented.
This study considers the interpretation of the cultural significance in Wonrim in the formative characteristics, and is valuable as a preliminary work to aboutOriental spatial culture.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

동아시아의 문화성이 재조명되는 가운데, 중국과 한국을 비롯한 동아시아는 고유의 사유를 바탕으로 한 독자적 공간 문화를 되돌아보게 한다. 이는 중국과 한국 역시 공간 문화 예술의 정수로 꼽히는 원림에 대한 가치와 조영성을 인식하지 못하는 결과로 이어졌고, 원림에 대한 이해도도 낮게 되었다. 기준이 서구의 형상 중심적 논의에 맞춰져 있다 보니, 원림 자체의 특유성을 바로 인식하지 못한 것이다. 이러한 문제 인식 아래, 동아시아의 공간 문화성을 강하게 띄면서도, 실증이 가능한 16-19세기의 원림을 선택하였으며, 그 중 동아시아의 사상적 근간을 이룬 계층인 “문인”들의 주도로 만들어진 문인 원림으로 집중하였다. 이는 “본질”을 중시하는 문인의 경향으로 발전되었고, 그 본질을 담고 있다면, 그 형체 자체가 중요하지 않다는 관념이 형성된다. 이에 대한 표현 특징은 비가공화, 대비화, 기하학화로 설명하여 그 의의를 제시하였다. 본 연구는 원림의 내면에 포함된 문화적 의의를 형상적 특징 속에서 해석하는데 중점을 두었으며, 동양 공간 문화의 공감대를 형성하기 위한 기반 연구로서의 가치가 있다.
