Research Necessity and Purpose
As the number of beauty schools increases, prospective beauty education students carefully compare and analyze various schools, focusing on the quality of educational services provided. They select beauty schools based on their evaluation of these services. From the per
spective of existing beauty schools, it is essential to identify proactive service quality factors to attract new students and secure the re-enrollment of existing students. Research is needed to improve education satisfaction and educational outcomes through efficient management strategies and differentiated service offerings.
This study aims to examine the effects of beauty school education service quality on education satisfaction and educational outcomes. It seeks to present rational and efficient basic
data that can improve the quality of beauty school education services and promote beauty education by increasing education satisfaction and outcomes.
Research Content and Method To clarify the causal relationships between educational service quality and educational performance and between educational satisfaction and educational performance, this study reviewed both domestic and international literature on educational service quality, educational satisfaction, and educational performance.
Empirical research was conducted through the analysis of questionnaire data. The survey was collected from 304 students attending beauty schools in Gyeongsangnam-do from July 1, 2024, to October 31, 2024. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 27.0 statistical software to determine the validity of constructs, reliability analysis to assess the reliability of each factor, frequency analysis to identify demographic attributes, and basic statistical an
alysis (mean, standard deviation) to assess the status of each factor. Independent sample T-tests and one-way ANOVA were conducted to examine differences in factors according to demographic attributes. Post-hoc analysis was performed using the Scheffé test, and Pearson's
correlation analysis was used to determine relevance. Multiple regression analysis was conducted to determine the influence of each factor.
Results of the Study
First, an analysis of the causal relationship between educational service quality and educational satisfaction revealed that interaction quality among educational service quality factors had a statistically significant effect on educational satisfaction. Interaction quality, with the
highest regression coefficient value, was found to have the greatest influence on educational satisfaction.
Second, an analysis of the causal relationship between educational service quality and educational performance indicated that outcome quality among educational service quality factors had a statistically significant effect on educational performance. Outcome quality, with the highest regression coefficient value, had the greatest influence on educational performance.
Conclusion
These research results suggest that to increase educational satisfaction and performance in beauty schools, it is essential to focus on interaction quality for educational satisfaction and outcome quality for educational performance, thereby increasing students' satisfaction. Maintaining relationships is recognized as a key factor in the beauty and service industries. Therefore, students should be given consideration, interest, and understanding. Continuous provision of information and communication should be emphasized to enhance educational performance.
As the environment and times change, service industry professionals must continuously grow, develop programs, provide services, and maintain relationships with students. To improve educational outcomes, beauty schools should offer career counseling and pay individual attention to students. Additionally, creating communication programs through SNS activities by providing various programs and information can help retain existing students.
