    LRE is newly introduced to the 7th national curriculum with the subject title of ``Law and Society``. Because it was not taught in pre-service teacher`s education, in-service teacher training course is essential especially to LRE. In this paper, we researched the quantity and quality of in-service teacher LRE training curriculum focused on the first grade teacher training courses of 2009 during the summer vacation period. As a result, LRE curriculums didn`t have enough hours to teach and varience of classes was quite limited. LRE is one of the core components of citizenship education. More hours and classes on the viewpoints of LRE should be given in teacher training curriculum.
