    The purpose of this study is the examination of the meaning of 5colors based on the doctrine of Yin and Yang-Ohhaeng(the five natural elements of the positive and negative) in connection with the life-story to contribute developing the traditional embroidery by manufacturing the embroidery. In this study, the literature research has been applied to examine the meaning and the symbolism within the traditional embroidery. The ten long-lived creatures pattern and the auspicious pattern represented the traditional pattern have been applied. As a result, the ilwoloagdo, the folding screen of the ten long-lived creatures, the glass bag, small bag of five colors and the inrowangbosalbeon have been manufactured on the basis of the doctrine of Yin and Yang-Ohhaeng with patterns of the ten long-lived creatures, the praying for the rich and noble, and the praying for longevity. In conclusion, researching this embroidery will contribute to support the traditional embroidery connected with the traditional culture.
