    The purpose of this paper is to account for Korean subjectr, and object case marking in terms of thematic hierarchy in comparison with other major approaches, i.e., of configurationality and topical accession hierarchy. In doing so, the author emphasize that in semantic structure various thematic roles need to be sorted out into four groups according to argument slot. And the groups are linked into syntactic subject in order of group 1 >roup 2 >roup 3 >roup 4, while syntactic object in order of group 4 >roup 3 >roup 2 >roup 1. After all, in case linking algorithm, what is of importance is not which thematic role an argument is, but which thematic group an argument belong to.
