신시기 중국의 ‘정치’ 교과서와 ‘사유ㆍ시장ㆍ개방’의 의미 변화 = Politics Textbooks of The New Era of China and the Modification in Symbolic Meanings of ‘Private Ownership’, ‘Market’, and ‘Open-Door’

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper shows how Politics textbooks modified binary symbolic classification during the New Era of China. Chinese reform and open market policy belongs to the transformation of economic system, and therefore it requires the change of symbolic meaning of economic activities. Changing the economic system without the modification of symbolic meaning is no more than social dislocation.
This paper, to begin with, gives the short description about the contents of Politics textbooks since the New China, and says that Politics was not a curriculum subject on ethics but a curriculum subject on social science. Because of this, Politics textbooks are the legitimate case for studying the modification of binary symbolic classification during the New Era of China. Then this paper raises 'private ownership', 'markets', and 'open-door' as the terminologies which went through the change of symbolic meaning since 1978. Their symbolic meanings shifted from the negative one to the positive one. The mode of description in Politics textbooks suggest that the change of symbolic meanings was related with 'drawing boundary' and 'naming'.
