초기 청소년기의 부모 및 또래애착과 애착의 변화 = Parent- and Peer Attachments of Early Adolescents and the Transition of Attachment Functions

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 후기 아동과 초기 청소년의 부모애착과 또래애착 정도를 알아보고 학년별, 성별로 부모애착과 또래애착의 차이를 탐구하였다. 나아가 아동과 청소년이 애착의 기능을 충족시키기 위해 또래를 선택하는 예측변인을 밝히려고 하였다. 연구문제를 검증하기 위해 297명의 아동과 청소년을 표본으로 선정하여 자료를 수집하였다. 연구결과 부모애착 정도는 후기 아동에서 초기 청소년으로 성장하면서 낮아지고, 여자가 남자보다 유의미하게 높았다. 하지만 또래애착 정도는 학년에 따라 유의미한 차이가 발견되지 않았고, 성별로는 여자가 남자보다 유의미하게 높았다. 초기 청소년은 후기 아동에 비해 애착의 세 가지 기능을 충족시키기 위해 부모보다 친구를 선택하는 비율이 높았다. 애착의 기능을 위해 또래선택을 예측하는 변인은, 부모에 대한 애착이 약할수록, 그리고 또래에 대한 애착이 강할수록 그 가능성이 높다. 하지만 학년과 성은 애착의 세 가지 기능 가운데 근접추구 기능과 편안한 천국 기능에서는 주요 예측변인이었으나 안전기저 기능에서는 유의미한 예측치가 아니었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study tried to explore the degrees of parent- and peer attachments among age- and sex-specific groups in late childhood and early adolescence. Additionally this study investigated the factors predicting the selection of peer to satisfy the attachment functions. A sample of 297 fourth, sixth elementary school students, and second grade middle school student completed two measures assessing attachment to parents and friends. Parent and peer attachment, age and sex predicted the selection of peer to satisfy the various attachment functions. Students who had less parental attachment and more peer attachment were more likely to select peers to fulfill attachment functions. However, grades and sex had produced mixed results in predicting the selection of peers. The implications of the findings of this study were discussed.
