대학생의 인터넷중독에 따른 애착유형과 심리적 특성 = The attachment style and psychological Characteristics of Internet Addiction among College Students

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to find the effects of attachment style and psychological characteristics on internet addiction among college students. 120 college students in Busan were selected for the questionnaire study. The results suggest that there are attachment differences on internet addiction. Avoidant group is the highest, and then anxious-resistant group, secure group is the lowest. The more avoidant attachment style individuals used, the higher internet addiction they show. The higher self-esteem and the lower depression, the individuals show the lower internet addiction scores. Comparing non-addiction, mild addiction, and severe addiction group, non-addiction group shows significantly higher self-esteem, while addiction group shows significantly higher depression symptom than the other groups. The best predicting model of the internet addiction was suggested. The attachment, self-esteem, and state loneliness were the significant predictor of the internet addiction. Attachment experiences in childhood have an impact on college students' self-esteem which in turn affect loneliness, which then affect internet addiction.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대학생들의 인터넷 중독에 영향을 주는 요인을 알아보기 위하여 애착유형, 자존감, 외로움 등을 고려하여 대학생들의 인터넷 중독과 중독수준에 따른 심리적 특성을 조사하고, 나아가 이들 변수들 간의 관계를 파악하여 설명하고자 하였다. 연구결과에 의하면, 회피애착과 우울증이 높을수록, 그리고 자존감이 낮을수록 인터넷 중독수준이 높았다. 친구애착에 따라 인터넷 중독에 유의한 차이가 있으며, 비중독집단이 중독집단들에 비해 자존감이 높고, 중증중독집단은 다른 집단에 비해 우울증이 높았다. 변인들 간의 관계를 검증한 결과에 의하면, 부모와의 애착경험이 현재 자존감에 영향을 주고, 자존감과 현재 친구애착이 대학생의 일시적 외로움에 영향을 주어, 이것이 다시 인터넷 중독에 영향을 준다고 하겠다. 기존의 연구는 인터넷 중독의 실태와 중독자의 심리적 특성에 초점을 맞추고 있으나 본 연구는 왜 인터넷 중독에 빠지게 되는지 변인들 간의 관계에 초점을 둔 연구로 의의가 있으며, 인터넷 중독에 영향을 주는 다양한 개인적, 환경적 변인을 고려한 보다 체계적인 후속연구가 요구된다.
