부산시민의 신뢰-유형별 현황과 영향요인 분석 = State of Trust and its Influential Factors in the Case of the Residents of Busan

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper aims to analyse the state of trust and its influential factors in the case of the residents of Busan City, by means of a social survey performed by the author in July 2013. At first, 37 concrete objects of trust are classified in 10 types on the bases of theoretical viewpoint and empirical data analysis. On these 10 types of trust, the levels of trust of the residents of Busan are measured differently in the order of specific trust(71.25)-national community trust(66.83)-local community trust(66.52)-democratic system trust(63.5)-educational institution trust(54.84)-election trust(54.58)-local public institution trust(53.66)-national public institution trust(46.95)-civil group trust(44.66)-generalized trust(44.27). What is remarkable is that the two types of interpersonal trust, specific trust and generalized trust, hold at both extremes of order, while the other types of institutional trust hold between them. In matters of the influential factors, the survey analyses show that not only they have a tendency to influence by groups but also they, each or groups, have a tendency to influence according to the different types of trust.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 부산시민을 대상으로 한 실증조사를 통해 사회자본의 핵심요소인 신뢰의 유형별 현황과 상관관계및 영향요인들을 분석했다. 우선, 이론과 실증조사분석을 바탕으로, 37개 구체적 신뢰대상을 10가지 유형으로 분류했으며, 이들 신뢰유형에 대한 부산시민들의 신뢰수준(백분위값)은 특수신뢰(71.25)-국가공동체신뢰(66.83)-지역공동체신뢰(66.52)-민주주의체제신뢰(63.5)-교육기관신뢰(54.84)-선거신뢰(54.58)-지역공공기관신뢰(53.66)-중앙공공기관신뢰(46.95)-사회단체신뢰(44.66)-일반신뢰(44.27)의 순으로 그 수준이 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구자의 부산시조사와세계가치조사의 일부 동일한 설문항에 대한 조사결과를 분석해보면, 부산시민의 신뢰유형별 신뢰수준은 한국인 평균과 대체로 유사한 수준을 보이고 있다. 상관분석결과, 이들 10가지 신뢰유형들은 모두 상호 간에 통계적으로 유의한정적인 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 곧 모든 유형의 신뢰는 상호보완적이라는 것을 의미하므로, 유형을불문하고 신뢰는 다다익선이라고 판단했다. 한편, 신뢰의 영향요인들은 그 범주(경제적, 정치적 등의 범주)별로 영향을미치는 신뢰유형이 다르고, 또한 각각의 개별 영향요인들이 영향을 미치는 신뢰유형의 종류와 그 영향력의 방향은 일정한 경향성을 가지는 것으로 분석되었다. 특히, 신뢰의 영향요인들 중 건강상태, 삶의 만족도 및 정치관심은 10가지모든 신뢰유형에 긍정적으로 영향을 미치고, 그 영향력의 크기는 대부분의 경우 통계적 유의성이 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 이를 근거로, 신뢰의 증진은 시민들의 건강상태, 삶의 만족도 및 정치관심의 증대를 통해 이루어질 수 있다는판단 하에 이를 위한 정책적 방안을 강구하기를 제안했다.
