This study was conducted to verify the hypothesis that New Senior's savoring beliefs and way of savoring after retirement will have a positive effect on re-socialization, social support, subjective well-being, and ego-integrity. Savoring is an intentional activity that amplifies happiness (Jose, Lim & Bryant, 2012). The purpose of this study is to study how savoring beliefs help re-socialization and social support from loss of social role due to retirement and the effect of savoring beliefs on subjective well-being and ego-integrity that lead to successful aging. This study was conducted on 204 men and women who retired from the Korean baby boom generation (55-63 years old). Correlation analysis, simple regression analysis, and ANOVA analysis were performed to verify the research hypothesis, and Baron & Kenny's three-step hierarchical regression analysis was used to analyze the partial mediating effect. As a result, the savoring belief and way of savoring had a significant positive effect on the re-socialization, social support, subjective well-being, and ego-integrity of New Senior after retirement. In addition, the way of savoring showed a partial mediating effect on the influence of savoring beliefs on re-socialization, social support, and subjective well-being. Based on these results, the way of savoring used a method of enhancing re-socialization, social support, subjective well-being, and ego-integrity as positive psychological activities. In addition, we discussed the areas where the savoring belief and the way of savoring can act as adaptive psychological functions in old age and have a positive effect on successful aging.
