공공기관 경영성과에 대한 기관규모효과 분석 -2008∼2012년 공공기관 경영실적평가결과를 중심으로- = An Analysis of the Effect of Institution Size on Management Performance of Public Institutions From 2008 to 2012

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

A variety of factors make influences on the performance of public institutions(PI), which can be largely classified as external factors and internal factors. In order to make appropriate measurement and evaluation, the external factors that cannot be improved by the effort of the evaluated institution should be controlled. Thus, this study conducts the analysis on the size effect of institution as well as controlling the external characteristics of various institutions. As a result, it is found that size variable measured by total assets makes significant influence on the total score of management performance evaluation, the metrical and nonmetrical score (ratio), and on leadership and major business sector score(ratio). Therefore, it seems that the factors which cannot be controlled by the evaluated institution such as organization size are not well-reflected on current system. Particularly, this study is focused on the performance after the unification of management performance evaluation system between SOEs and quasi-governmental agencies. We explore the effectiveness of the unified performance evaluation of the public institutions by identifying the external factors that make influences on the performance evaluation of these PIs. And we concluded that current unified management performance evaluation system of the PIs need to allow individual institution size consideration.
