팽효「명경도」의 도교역학적 의의 고찰

This article aims to examine the characteristics and significance of Daoism Yixue as presented in Peng Xiao’s ‘Mingjing tu’ during the Five Dynasties at the conclusion of the Tang Dynasty. To achieve this, the paper reviews the ‘Mingjing tu’ tradition and examines mirror design in Daoism during the period preceding Peng Xiao, and analyzes the characteristics of ‘Riyuexiang tu’ and ‘Bahuan tu’ included in Peng Xiao’s ‘Mingjing tu.’ The ‘Mingjing tu’ inherits the traditional Daoism ‘Mingjing’ design tradition from the earlier period but also displays distinctive characteristics. The ‘Riyuexiang tu’ is a diagram expressing the alchemical drug theory of Zhouyi Cantongqi . Unlike the previous tradition, which depicted the sun and the moon using images of crows in the sun and rabbits in the moon, this diagram combines these images with the Kangua (坎卦) and Ligua (離卦) of Book of Changs . The “Bahuan tu” is a diagram focusing on the theory of the alchemical huohou (火候, fire phasing) of Zhouyi Cantongqi . This diagram, differing from the earlier tradition that centered around painting images, is focused on the Yixue diagram that expresses cosmology. In conclusion, Peng Xiao’s ‘Mingjing tu’ not only inherits the Daoism ‘Mingjing tu’ and Daoism Yixue traditions from the previous Tang era but also presents Daoism Yixue as a prehistory to the Song Dynasty’s Tushu Yixue (圖書易學), which discusses cosmology through the diagrams of Yixue. This aspect makes it of great historical significance in the study of Yixue.
