The purpose of this paper is to study the morphological characteristics and formation process, and land use of the hills in Koera. For this study, the hills distributed in Seoul,
Yung poong, Andong, and Yechon area are surveyed. the results of this study are as follows ;
1) In Seoul area, dome - shaped hills, most of which are composed of harder rocks, are found at many places. Such shape of the hills are presumed that the relief of the weathering front are exposed by denudation of weathering mantle. Accordingly, those dome - shaped hills, composed of harder rocks, are assumed to be similar to the inselbergs which are distributed in the tropical climatic zone.
2) In Yungpoong and Andong-Yechon ares, undulating hills, the bedrocks of which had experienced deep weathering, are distributed across the wide range. These undulating hills display the summit accordance. These features interprete that the hills has been formed by dissection of the denudation surfaces.
3) The landforms such as the dome - shaped hills and undulating hills had been almost useless except used as forest land ' however now - a - days the undulating hills are becoming valuable landforms for housing site
