The purpose of this study is to suggest one of the core virtues of Christian spirituality as a way to overcome modern civilization's problems. Since the Industrial Revolution, humankind has developed technology to promote its welfare. However, this has created a new environmental problem, which cannot be overcome with technology alone. It is my hope that humankind will utilize spiritual and religious elements, virtues of humanity, to solve modern problems with our current civilization. In order to overcome environmental problems, it is necessary to develop better means of production, consumption and purification methods. More urgent than this is a need for a change in the way we think and live our lives. Humanity, which has developed abundant materials, production methods, and increased consumption, will find clues to solve their problems by observing the lives of the people that live abundantly under simple material conditions. One of the virtues we should examine is the virtue that enables us to have our own abilities. The consciousness of universal virtue, which is respecting the virtue of human history, can be an important starting point for overcoming the environmental problems that humankind is facing today. Suede is not easy to practice, because everyone assumes that it is difficult to make compromises. Therefore, I think that it is necessary to have a detailed inquiry about voluntary virtue and concrete guidance on the method.
