短期集中講義形式による圖書館專門職養成敎育について = Present Conditions and Problems of Librarian Education by An Intensive Course Study for Librarians

日本の大學における圖書館情報學科目の開講形式には次のような種類がある.
①專門敎育 (圖書館情報學を主專攻として專門敎育を行う)
②司書課程 (主專攻とは別に副專攻として圖書館情報學科目を開講する)
③司書講習 (圖書館情報科目を短期集中講義形式で開講する)
敎育硏究環境の充實度？の觀點からみると, 專門敎育と司書課程·司書講習の間には大てな開きがみられる. しかし取得できる資格は同じ「司書」である. このことを「不平等」, あるいは「圖書館職の專門性についての社會的評價を低めている」と批判する聲を開く. 特に短期集中講義形式を特徵とする司書講習に對して「たった2ケ月間で多樣な受講者に集中的に敎育を行う」と嚴しい. 司書講習の特徵が, 欠として指摘されているのだ.
勤務校である別府大學は1961年に司書課程を設置, 同時に司書講習を開講. 本稿では?當敎員の立場から, 司書講習の現狀を報告し今後の課題について私見を披瀝する.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Subjects of Library and Information Science were lectured by way of the following three methods in Japanese universities.
1. It is lectured as the Major Subject (Specialty) in the department of Library and Information Science.
2. It is lectured as Sub-major Subject Curricula to have the qualification for Librarian at the faculty.
3. Intensive Course Program for Librarian.
From the substantial point of view of the education, there is a great difference between the Major Study and the Sub-major Study or Intensive Short-term Program. Though either of them can have the same qualification as Librarian.
They criticize it unequal and that it makes the social standard of the Librarian lower. And they also say strictly that the Intensive Course Program above all, could hardly give sufficient lectures only for two months.
The characteristic of the Intensive Program is pointed out the fault.
Beppu University that I belong to established the Library Science Course in the curricula in 1961 and at the same time, opened the Intensive Course Program for Librarian during the summer.
I'd like to make a report on the present conditions of an Intensive Course Program for Librarians and state the future problems in my opinion.
