영아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 우울에 영향을 미치는 요인 = Variables Associated with Depression in New Mothers

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effects of social support between family life events, parenting stress and depression in new mothers. After specifying a research model based on stress process perspective, the investigation analysed the model using structural equation modeling. The data for this study came from a sample 2,078 Korean Children Panel.
The results showed the both measurement model and structural model had a good fit to the data and all paths of structural model were statistically significant. The main findings were family life events and parenting stress had direct and indirect effects on depression in new mothers. Social support had mediating effects of family life events and parenting stress on depression. The implications for practical intervention and further research in the field of depression of mothers were discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 가족의 생활사건, 양육스트레스가 영아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 우울에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 사회적 지지의 매개 효과를 검증하기 위해 실행되었다. 이를 위하여 스트레스과정 접근을 기반으로 연구모형을 설정한 후, 구조방정식 모형을 활용하여 검증하였다. 분석 자료는 한국아동패널2008 자료 2,078사례였다. 분석 결과 구조방정식모형의 측정모형과 구조모형이 모두 자료에 적절한 모형적합도를 보여주었고, 구조모형의 모든 경로가 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 가족 생활사건과 어머니의 양육스트레스는 모두 어머니의 우울에 직접 효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났을 뿐 아니라 사회적 지지의 매개과정을 통하여 간접 효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 어머니 우울 예방 및 실천적 개입 방안에 대한 논의가 이루어졌다.
