The main purpose of this study is to empirically analyze the working environment, actual condition, and job satisfaction in youth workers, and to suggest the improvement plan for treatment so that the youth workers, who are equipped with professional skill and capability, can continuously contribute to development in youth activity without leaving the job, based on problems about this.
In order to achieve these objectives, the questionnaire research was carried out targeting 450 persons who participated in the qualification test training and job training for youth workers among full-time youth workers, who are working now, out of Youth Training Facilities that are distributed nationwide. After passing through the error-examination work, 230 sheets became the finally analysis subjects. By using SPSSWIN 12.0 program, the empirical analysis was carried out through frequency analysis, reliability measurement, T- test, one-way ANOVA, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. Given arranging the main research results, those are as follows.
First, youth workers are maintaining the close relationship with the youth through diverse facilities(institutions). The establishment in facilities was led by the central government and the local government. However, in case of operation, the contract-operation form was surveyed to be much.
Second, as a result of asking about salary, 65.2% was surveyed to be dissatisfactory at the current salary. Also, the present salary was indicated to be inappropriate for family to make a living.
Third, youth workers were surveyed to have many dissatisfactions with their duty quantity and working hours.
Fourth, given considering that there are many Youth Training Facilities in Natural Areas, the security of space for an individual rest was surveyed to be imminent. Also, it was indicated that the convenient facilities for staff fail to be well arranged, and that the enforcement in the Flexible Benefit Plan is insufficient.
Fifth, youth workers were surveyed to have many dissatisfactions with the personnel management for the facilities(institutions) at which they are working.
Sixthly, youth workers were surveyed to feel worthwhile much for the current job.
Seventh, youth workers were surveyed to be thinking positively about their selected job and about being a member of a work site, but to be seriously worrying about separation from the position.
Accordingly, based on these empirical analysis results, the following improvement plans for treatment are aimed to be suggested.
Firth, the central government and the local government need to take the lead in allowing youth workers' wage to be realistic.
Second, a bill needs to be arranged in order to enhance welfare in youth workers who are on behalf of the nation's mission.
Third, the support for policy will need to be made substantially in the dimension of the central government and the local government so that the human and financial support can be expanded for the youth facilities.
Fourth, the government and youth workers will need to make an effort in order to be expanded and enforced the job training, professional training, and compensation education, which can be equipped with stature as a professional through reinforcing professionalism in youth workers.
Fifth, the arrangement for a public servant exclusively in charge of fostering youth, which is prepared in the Youth Basic Act, will need to be expanded and enforced.
In order for social recognition and solidifying the stature as a professional in youth workers who fail to establish identity due to inferior working environment, unstable treatment, and lack of social recognition, there is necessity of the government's continuous policy support and publicity toward the people.
Even youth workers will need to proceed with making the clean, bright, and green youth world for our future youth, with having pride and self-confidence as a professional through a steady effort.
