아동이 지각한 부,모의 양육태도와 또래관계에서 정서조절능력의 매개효과 = The Mediating Effects of Children`s Emotional Regulation Ability on the Relationship between Children`s Perception of Parenting Attitudes and Peer Relationships

This study examined the meditating effects of children’s emotional regulation ability on the relationship between parenting attitudes and peer relationships. Survey data from 547 children in the 5th and 6th grades in elementary schools were taken for analysis, using SPSS and AMOS 22.0. The study revealed the following results. First, when children’s perceptions of parenting attitudes were seen as ‘warm and accepting’, there were positive impacts upon their peer relationships. However, when children perceived their parents as being ‘permissive and non-intervening’ and ‘rejecting and restrictive’, there were negative impacts on their peer relationships. Second, ‘warmth-acceptance’ type attitudes developed children’s emotional regulation ability while ‘permission and non-intervention’ and ‘rejection and restriction’ attitudes undermined these abilities. Third, the relationship between children’s emotional regulation ability and their peer relationships showed a high degree of statistical significance. Fourth, the children’s emotional regulation ability played a fully mediating role on ‘warmth-acceptance’ and ‘rejection and restriction’ attitudes and peer relationships. Additionally, the children’s emotional regulation abilities played a partial mediating role on ‘permission and non-intervention’ attitudes and peer relationships.
