조선시대 자만시(自挽詩)의 특수 유형 = Special Types of Self-elegy Poetry in Joseon

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 글은 자만시의 특수유형 작품들을 학계에 소개하기 위해 작성되었다. 자만시는 동아시아의 독특한 자전적 글쓰기 방식의 하나로 주제적 속성 자체가 이었다고 볼 수 있다. 그런데 변격의 문학주제인 자만시가 조선 후기에 이르면 또 다른 일탈을 보이기 시작한다. 그것은 내용과 글쓰기 방식 모두에서 일어난다. 이를테면 변격의 변격이 발생한 것이다. 이 글은 이를 자만시의 특수 유형으로 규정하고 그 양상과 특성을 살펴 본 것이다. 내용의 특수성이란 측면에선 사후 두 번째 기일이란 특정 시공간에 자신의 죽음에 대한 상상력을 펼친 김조순, 자만시를 쓴 뒤 소생한 경험을 추가한 박치원, 의리라는 시대의식을 담은 이언직의 작품을 살펴보았다. 글쓰기의 특수성이란 측면에선 과체시 형식으로 자만시를 쓴 정기안, 두보의 작품에 덧붙여 써서 자만시를 완성한 석지형의 경우를 살펴보았다. 조선시대시인들은 자만시를다층적으로 인식했다. 그들은 자만시를단순히 임종 무렵에 남기는 마지막 말 정도로 인식했던 것이 아니라, 죽음을 맞이하기 전에 자신을 표현하는 효과적인 방법임을 잘 알고 있었다. 그런 측면에서 이 글에서 검토한 특수 유형 작품들은 자만시 양식의 자기 변화와 갱신의 양상으로서 특별히 주목될 필요가 있다 자만시라는 . 특정 주제에 국한된 것이긴 하나 문학사의 변화에 대한 미시적 검토는 차후 만시 등 죽음을 소재·주제로 한 문학에 대한 이해 폭을 확충하는 데에도 일정한 기여를 할 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This article is intended to introduce some self-elegy poems of special type. Self-elegy is a special kind of autobiographical writings in East Asia, so in terms of theme, it is irregular in itself. But by the time of late Joseon, appeared another irregularity in its theme and writing style. I regard these irregularities as the special types of self-elegy poetry. As to irregularities in contents, Kim Jo-soon imagined the second anniversary of death of himself, Park Chi-won wrote about a revival of himself, Lee Eon-jik reflected the spirit of the time writing about fidelity to Ming Dynasty. As to irregularities in writing style, Jung Ki-an used a form of Guache poetry(科體詩), Seok Ji-hyung added lines to the works of Du Fu(杜甫). Writers in Joseon imposed multiple meanings on self-elegy. They didn``t take it simply as the last words before one``s death, they fully acknowledged its efficiency in self-expression with some intentions. So the works referred in this articles should be fully recognized as the aspects of self-transition and development.
