This study is to develop an alternative Elementary Science curriculum to enhance creative problem solving abilities. In the first year of the study, we had analysed the sixth national science curriculum, textbooks, and elementary science lessons in two elementary school settings and had found that those were not adequate to enhance children`s creative problem solving abilities, although it was stated as the final goal of Science education. Therefore, in this study, we have identified composing elements for the elementary science education to develop creative problem solving abilities. Those are science content knowledge, process knowledge and creative thinking skills. In order to prevent learning simple facts, the content knowledge is developed to include comprehensive concepts using five themes such as structure, energy, change, interaction and stability. The process knowledge is consisted with of primary process knowledge and integrated process knowledge. And those are specified for each grade level. The creative thinking skills include divergent and convergent thinking abilities. Specific elements of those two thinking abilities are determined and infused into the science problem solving process. A sample lesson is designed to show how to infuse those three elements of the curriculum which were mentioned above.
