한국 현대문학에 나타난 '서울' 형상 연구 = A Study on the figure of 'Seoul' which is reflected in Korean modern literature

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Critical texts of modern Korean literatures have been completed by sociological imagination which was mainly due to the records all about capitalization by Japan and Korean War. Traditional Farm Community being collapsed down, literary criticism about 'modernization' in such a situation continually have been developed, through sociological, economical, and ecological approaches.
As the symbolic place of modernization, 'Seoul' was always major theme of our literature. 1930's well-known group of modernists described 'Kyong-soung'(the first modernised city), which was characterized in Park tae-won, Lee sang's Novel, or Kim gi-rim, Kin kwang-gyun's poets as the place where their Ego and Picture of real world face each other.
It can be said that the modern city 'Kyong-soung' was a Big-sized picture of customs which was very real. 'Seoul' had not only value of picture, but also of mediator which transforms the whole cultural map of tradition and atmosphere.
After Independence from Japan, Seoul turns out to be playing the role of megapolis both in symbolic and actual meaning. Seoul which 1950's 'later half era' group saw with awesome eyes, and 1970's novelists like Kim seung-ok and Lee ho-choul described with aesthetics of 'loneliness' was described in 1970's as a dark-shadowed city, and 1980's as a market place of invading capitalism. And It happens to be a friendly theme of our ecology of literature.
This study is an historical and ecological investigation of literary works which reflected figure of seoul which contains all of these black and whites.
