전래놀이노래가 유아의 정서지능에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to examine how traditional-play songs affected the emotional intelligence of young children. The research questions were posed as below:
1. What is the effect of activities of singing traditional-play songs on emotional intelligence?
1-1. What is the effect of activities of singing traditional-play songs on self-awareness and expressiveness?
1-2. What is the effect of activities of singing traditional-play songs on an ability to control one's own emotion?
1-3. What is the effect of activities of singing traditional-play songs on an ability to perceive others?
1-4. What is the effect of activities of singing traditional-play songs on interpersonal skills?
The subjects in this study were 40 young children who attended S kindergarten and K daycare center that were closely located in the city of Masan, south Gyeongsang province. 20 preschoolers from S kindergarten were selected as an experimental group, and the others from K daycare center were selected as a control group. The instrument used in this study was Lee Byeong-rae(1997)'s Preschooler Emotional Intelligence Inventory. After pretest and posttest were conducted to assess the emotional intelligence of both groups, the experimental group participated in a program of singing traditional-play songs. For data analysis, SPSS 12.0 program was utilized to make a covariance analysis.
The findings of the study were as follows:
First, the activities to sing traditional-play songs exercised a positive influence on improving the emotional intelligence of the preschoolers.
Second, among the subareas of emotional intelligence, the activities to sing traditional-play songs had a positive impact on their self- awareness, expressiveness and ability to perceive others.
Third, among the subareas of emotional intelligence, the activities to sing traditional-play songs didn't affect their ability to control their own emotion and their interpersonal relationship.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 전래놀이노래가 유아의 정서지능에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 이러한 목적 하에 본 연구에서 설정한 연구 문제는 다음과 같다.
1) 전통놀이노래 활동이 정서지능에 미치는 효과는 어떠한가?
(1) 전통놀이노래 활동이 자기인식 및 표현능력에 미치는 효과는 어떠한가?
(2) 전통놀이노래 활동이 자기감정조절능력에 미치는 효과는 어떠한가?
(3) 전통놀이노래 활동이 타인인식능력에 미치는 효과는 어떠한가?
(4) 전통놀이노래 활동이 대인관계능력에 미치는 효과는 어떠한가?
이와 같은 연구문제를 밝혀보기 위해 연구대상은 경남 마산시에 소재하는 S유치원 만4세 20명을 실험집단으로 하고, 인근 K어린이집 만4세 20명을 통제집단으로 구성하였다. 연구도구는 이병래(1997)가 제작한 유아용 정서지능검사지를 이용하였고, 연구절차로 실험집단과 통제집단에 정서지능 사전검사와 사후검사를 실시하였고, 실험집단 유아들을 대상으로 전래놀이노래프로그램을 실시하였다. 자료처리는 SPSS 12.0을 사용하여 공변량 분석(Covariance Analysis)을 실시하였다.
이러한 과정을 거쳐 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다.
첫째, 전통놀이노래 활동이 유아의 정서지능의 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다.
둘째, 각 하위영역으로 보면 전래놀이노래 활동이 ‘자기인식 및 표현능력’ ‘타인인식능력’에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다.
셋째, 각 하위영역으로 보면 전래놀이노래 활동이 ‘자기감정조절능력’ ‘대인관계’의 향상에는 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.
