국제결혼이주여성의 자아존중감 및 결혼만족도 향상을 위한 현실요법 집단프로그램의 효과 = Effects of a Reality Therapy Group Program for Improving the Self-Esteem and Marriage Satisfaction of Migrant Women

Through a test conducted on six married migrant women, this study tested the effects of a reality therapy group program in improving self-esteem and marriage satisfaction in order to help them adapt to Korean society. Rogenberg's self-esteem scale and Roach's marriage satisfaction scale were used for data analysis, before and after testing were conducted and the data were analyzed using a single t-test and a paired t-test. The following findings summarize the study results.
First, from the preliminary test on self-esteem and marriage satisfaction, the test group and comparison group showed the same quality, with no differences noted between groups. Second, the results of testing on the changes in self-esteem by migrant women who participated in the reality therapy group program showed that there were meaningful changes in self-esteem for those who participated in the reality therapy group program with the level of p<.05. Therefore, the reality therapy group program can be said to have positively changed the migrant women's levels of self-esteem. Third, the results of testing on the changes in marriage satisfaction by the migrant women who participated in the reality therapy group program showed that there were changes in levels of marriage satisfaction for those who participated in the reality therapy group program with the level of p<.05. Therefore, the reality therapy group program can be said to have positively changed the migrant women's levels of marriage satisfaction.
