『적도』의 갈등 구조와 서사 기법 = The Structure of Conflicts and Narrative Techniques of Jeokdo

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The main purposes of this study is to reveal the corelation between the theme of consciousness and the aesthetic configuration, by analyzing Jeokdo of Hyen, Jin-Gun from through the structure of conflicts and narrative techniques. Looking at some of the conflicts in a multi-dimensional array, It exposes complications between a series of human relationships and forms a confronting structure, where a figure who lives a prodigal and hypocritical life, taking advantage of his economic force acquired in collusion with Japan, a figure who lives a refracted life, caused by poverty, and a figure who lives a struggling life to achieve ideal value of national spirit. In The aspects of various analepses shown in the novel not only get the bottom of events after eliminating mendacious facts of the past but draw readers` attention by delaying certain information or provide a higher density construction by causing dramatic suspense. In narrating analepses consisted of zero-focalization, the writer harvests the aesthetic effect to express past inner nature in a way of vividness by utilizing projected vocabulary. The writer-narrator of the novel objectively reveals psychological conflict and human relations with the characters coming into focus by a variety of focalization techniques and a chronology of events. In addition, the writer shows his way of narration by speech acts in forms of putting the writer`s thoughts into characters` utterances, conveying characters` ideas and inward nature in his own words and experiences, and using vocabulary projected in terms of his subjective ideas.
