Screaming sounds of some peacocks were analyzed in the laboratory. The sound pressure level was measured by means of a precision sound level meter(B & K; type 2203). The frequency and wave form of various sounds were analyzed with an analyzing system consisting of a tape recorder(B & K; type 7004), a heterodyne analyzer(B & K; type 2010), a level recorder(B & K; type 2307) and an oscilloscope(Tek.; type 468). The followings are the results obtained from the present investigation;
1. Of the screaming sound of pavo cristatus(L.), the frequency of the sound was 350Hz∼1,300Hz.
2. The pressure level of screaming sound by pavo cristatus (L.) was 84∼91dB.
