Korean Scale of Academic Cheating was developed and validated. The scale was composed of 6 subscales which measured various aspects of cheating perceptions (problem, seriousness, definition, causes, and effective prevention strategies) and cheating experiences. The scale was administered to 698 college students. The reliability for total items was .87 and the reliability range for subscales and factors was .55-.89. Content validity was verified by two experts. Construct validity was validated by factor analyses. The results showed that Problem. Seriousness, Cause Subscale had one factor each. Definition and Experience Subscale had two factors each. Prevention Subscale had 3 factors. Problem, Seriousness. Definition Subscale scores score were significantly and negatively related to Experience Subscale scores while Prevention and Cause Subscale scores were not. This proved criterion-related validity of the subscales.
