법의 문제로서 관계중독의 이해 - 영화 〈인간중독〉과 고성 초등학생 암매장 살인사건을 중심으로 - = Conceptualizing Relationship Addiction as a Legal Issue

The article argues that conceptualizing relationship addiction as a legal issue is an urgent matter for the realization of human dignity and justice, as relationship addiction ultimately destroys the humanity of those involved in such relationships. However, relationship addiction has not been properly recognized as a form of addiction in our society or legal systems. As a first step, this article attempts to raise awareness about the seriousness of this problem by examining the destructive nature of relationship addiction through the movie Obsessed. Furthermore, by examining a real-life case in which relationship addiction led to a horrifying crime, specifically the abuse and murder of an elementary school student in Goseong, the article confirms the close relationship between relationship addiction and the law. Additionally, by analyzing the court rulings in this case, this article explores how the current legal system understands and addresses the issue of relationship addiction, as well as the possibilities for its advancement. Lastly, it briefly introduces the interdisciplinary approach between law and psychoanalysis as a perspective that could assist the law in its difficult challenge of addressing the issue of relationship addiction, which is a matter deeply influenced by unconscious minds.
