In order to understand Hamlet, how one looks at the complicated and subtle character, Hamlet, is very important. In this paper, synthesizing opinions from different psychological perspectives, I attempt to explain beth Hamlet's character and his behavior. I analyzed the significant scenes of Hamlet's hostile attitudes toward Gertrude and Ophelia, his seemingly unpredictable behavior of madness, and the reason for the delay in slaying Claudius, ele. Jung's notion of animus and anima gives us a clue to Hamlet's delay in killing Claudius, Jamison's explanation of hypomania and mamic depression suggests not only that his madness is to lull the King's suspicion, but also that some of his behaviors are the expression of his real emotion, Chodorow's theory of gender personality gives several possible reasons for Hamlet's extreme misogynistic attitude toward Gertrude and Ophelia Compared with ordinary men Hamlet's gender personality has developed differently in his special environments. In an environment, a person's character and behavior are formed by way of the interactions between the conscious and the unconscious sphere of the humann mind. In view of Hamlet's special circumstances and of his conditions that lead him to do what he has to do, I arrive at a conclusion: the behavior of the character, Hamlet, is more natural than contrived.
