일부 지역 성인의 노후불안 = Anxiety about Aging of a Resident Community of Adult

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This research investigated the anxiety about aging for the adult and the differences in anxiety about aging by characteristics of adult, especially gender, age, education, occupation state, income, current health, experiences in living with the old. To this purpose, we survey Anxiety about Aging Scale(Lasher ＆ Faulkender, 1993) in Korean in 572 adult. The conclusions of this research were as follows: First, the mean of the anxiety about aging for the adult was 3. 58. Second, the mean for fear of loss subscale was 3.95, the mean for fear of old people subscale was 3.75, the mean for physical appearance subscale was 3.33, the mean for psychological concerns subscale was 2.86. Third, there were significant different in anxiety about aging by characteristics of adult, especially gender, age, education, occupation state, income, current health, experiences in living with the old. Based upon above findings, this study give useful information for the anxiety about aging for the adult and intervention program.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 성인의 노후 불안 수준을 파악하고, 대상자들의 일반적 특성에 따른 노후불안의 차이를 탐색하기 위한 것이다. 연구대상자는 부산과 경남 지역에 거주하는 20 - 60세미만의 남녀 성인 572명이었으며 자료 수집은 2006년 9월부터 11월 사이에 이루어졌다. 본 연구에서 사용한 도구는 Lasher와 Faulkender(1993)의 AAS(Aging Anxiety Scales)를 번안한 20문항 중 18문항을 사용하였으며 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대상자의 노후불안은 7점 만점 척도 상에서 1.11점에서 6.50점의 점수범위를 보였으며, 평균은 3.58점이었다. 둘째, 노후불안의 요인별 점수는 상실에 대한 두려움이 3.95점, 노인에 대한 두려움이 3.75점, 신체적 외모에 대한 걱정이 3.33점, 정서적 불안정이 2.86점이었다. 셋째, 대상자들의 일반적 특성에 따른 노후불안은 성별, 연령, 교육수준, 직업유무, 월수입, 건강상태, 노인과의 동거경험 유무에 따라 총 노후불안 점수에서 혹은 각 요인별 점수에서 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 성인들의 노후불안을 감소시키고 긍정적인 노후설계에 도움을 줄 수 있는 성인교육프로그램 개발을 위한 논의가 시도되었다.
