『종북소선(鐘北小選)』의 비평 원리와 문학교육적 의미 = The Critical Principles of “Jongbuksoseon (鐘北小選)” and Their Literary Educational Value

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구에서는 이덕무의 비평서 『종북소선(鐘北小選)』을 제재로 하여 전체적인 비평의 원리를 구명하고 문학교육적 의미를 검토하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 『종북소선』에 수록되어 있는 서문을 포함한 11편의 작품을 제재로 두었으며, 비평 방식과 이덕무의 문학관과의 관련성에 주목하여 분석을 진행하였다. 『종북소선』의 전체적인 구성 원리는 진(眞)과 더불어 연결되는 진정(眞情)으로 요약되며, 이는 전체적인 작품의 내용과 비평의 내용을 통어하는 원리로서 기능하고 있다. 이를 바탕으로 ‘글(글쓰기)-나-삶’으로 이어지는 진(眞)의 비평이 보이는 방식과 내용에 대해, 글을 쓰는 방법과 참된 문장과 글에 대한 사유, 이견(異見)을 제시하는 방법, 문학에서 나타나는 삶의 핍진성 등의 요소에서 문학교육적 의미를 지닌다고 보았다. 또한 『종북소선』에서 비평의 방식으로 사용되었던 평점비평이 교육적으로 활용될 수 있는 가능성을 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examines “Jongbuksoseon (鐘北小選),” a critical anthology by Lee Deok-mu, with the aim of elucidating its overarching principles of criticism as a critical selection and exploring its implications for literary education. The analysis focuses on 11 pieces included in “Jongbuksoseon,” including the preface, with particular attention paid to the method of criticism and the relationship with Lee Deok-mu’s view of literature in the text. The overall organizing principles of “Jongbuksoseon” can be summarized as jin (眞) and jinjeong (眞情). Based on this, the study argues that Lee Deok-mu’s mode and content of criticism—connecting writing, self, and life—have significant implications for literary education. These implications are found in reflections on the methods of writing, conceptions of authentic sentences and texts, ways of presenting divergent viewpoints, and the verisimilitude of life as represented in the literature. In addition, this study suggests the potential for the pedagogical application of pyeongjeom criticism, which is employed as a mode of criticism in “Jongbuksoseon (鐘北小選).”
