고려후기 除夜詩(제야시)의 작가와 제야시의 문학적 특질 = A Study on the literary characteristics of the Watch-Night poetry and the poet who creates it in the latter part of the Goryeo dynasty

The Watch-Night poetry is a poem written looking back to the last year and forward to the new one on New Year’s Eve. The Watch-Night on New Year’s Eve is seasonal custom handed down from the Goryeo period. While in China the creation of the Watch-Night poetry date from Dang dynasty. For example, some poets such as Mang Hoyeon, Baek Geoee, So Dongpa wrote the Watch-Night poetry. The creation of such poetry became more active as time goes by. The same story has to be told about Goryeo and Chosun dynasty. Because it is likely that maturing of creative culture brought about diversity of topic and material of poems and heightened interest in poems dealing with everyday life materials. That is natural phenomenon in the process of literal development. In the history of sino-korean poetry, the Watch-Night poetry had been written by the early poets like Choi Chiwon, Lee Kyubo. At the turn of the late Goryeo dynasty, a lot of Watch-Night poetry(37 poems) was written by several writers like Choi Hae, Lee Gok, An Chuk, Lee Saek, Jung Mongju, Lee Sungin, Kwon kun etc. In Chosun dynasty, The amount of the Watch-Night poetry had rapidly increased. It was included in almost every collection of literary works. In this manuscript, I looked at 11poets, such as Lee Kyubo, Choi Hae, An Chuk, Lee Saek, Jung Mongju, Lee Sungin, Kwon kun, Lee Gok, Lee Sungin, Kwon kun, Byon Geryang, Won chunsuk etc. The Watch-Night poetry covers many subjects : ① Expectations and ambition of a new start of life ② Reflect upon poet``s past life ③The feeling of a lonely traveler ④ Worries and anxiety about the future. The main attraction for the Watch-Night poetry is sincere mind of poet appeared in literature as introspection. Much Watch-Night poetry exceptionally crystallize the sensitive feelings of poet and is a key to consider the poets`` literary art. This is what is of historic significance in literary history and why we should study on the Watch-Night poetry.
